Cost & Keep

Choice Essential · proposed product name
Does your price cover your work?

Check one product, job or order. Include your costs and what you want to pay yourself for the time. The example numbers are fictional. Replace them with your own.

1. Enter your numbers

All amounts must use the selected currency. Changing currency keeps your numbers; it does not convert them. The fictional example is not a recommended local price. Include packaging, delivery you pay and other costs for this sale. Don't include payment fees here. For example, monthly business costs divided by your estimated monthly orders. Avoid counting costs twice. Include preparation, customer messages and delivery/admin time.
Payment fees and discountsFictional example. Enter your actual fee rate; this is not a PayPal, Stripe or Etsy rate.Applied to both your current price and the calculated displayed prices below.

Your current price, explained

Customer pays GBP 20.00. Fees: GBP 0.90. Materials and other costs: GBP 5.00. Running costs: GBP 2.00. Pay for your time: GBP 10.00. Extra profit: GBP 2.10.

Use the same currency for every monetary input. No exchange-rate conversion. The interface is in English. Excludes VAT, income/corporation tax, refunds and tiered fees. It checks the costs you enter, not your full accounts. Use actual fee details and consistent amounts. Results are estimates; payment-provider rounding may differ. This prototype has no automatic saving.

Before you quote

  1. Check that the time and costs cover everything you agreed to provide.
  2. Ask what changes if the work takes longer or you offer a discount.
  3. Compare the calculated figure with what customers will pay. Adjust the scope if the job does not work financially.

A zero cost is allowed. A blank, negative or invalid input stops the calculation. All calculations stay in this file. There are no external scripts or account logins.
